Meme-ness indeed

Stolen from Hana's Xanga, which was in turn stolen from Ame's LJ.

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post lyrics for the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly. [Don't use google or searches!]

Bored, posting something useless

Well, these laid back days are probably going to come to an end, at least for a while, after today, if not before tonight. So please pass on the message if you guys can, though I'll update if this proves untrue.

But without further ado, the useless thing. You're supposed to fill this out in regards to me. I'll do my best to do the same for anyone who puts this up on my xanga. Feel free to post your's in the comment field or perhaps even on your xanga, whatever pleases you. I lifted off from an old email I got, while checking through my email archives out of boredom. I went over it briefly to brush up the grammar and spelling. Just know that it isn't mine. XD

If you already have would you do it again?
Marry me if you could?
Ever talk about me if we were to break up?

Questions -

Which song reminds you of me?
Do you think i'll get married?
If you do, who do you think I'll marry?

Who is my best friend (on the internet)?
Where did we meet?
Have you ever had a dream of me?
If youi could change one thing about me, what would it be?

School kicking my ass.

My struggle against my homework reminds me of my struggle as Soviet Russia against Nazi Germany in this one strategy game I have with loli military commanders. The struggle was difficult, I was barely holding my border (winter was coming, which severely cripples my ability to send reinforcements, though it also stops them dead). Of course, I suppose I was a bit over ambitious. My borders are quite a bit more than what the Soviets at that point in the war and I handily deflected the Barbossa Invasion, among other things. But yeah, my general inability at playing the game (I can't understand the manual, for the most part. Wholly just guessing and experimenting during the peace with Germany. And after, my infrastructure was very weak and my aging force of tank along with slow generation of research points (have to build or upgrade the research centers to increase how much you get, which I did almost none of) was crippling and made things hard. Only thing I had going for me was just sheer numbers of weak tanks, but that didn't help much since I had such a large border and was, as a result, thinly spread. My air force was also crappy, since I neglected building air bases.

Anyhow, the struggle was hard and difficult, especially against the Germans who had huge power as far as making more units (they held more land), they had more resources in general, allies (the Allies were sitting on there hands, I swear), managed researching a lot better and had greatly superior military units. With the overpowering of Denmark, which freed a ton of troops up, I was having trouble against them. A lot of trouble. Similarly with my homework. It's kicking my ass plain and simple because I have terrible time management skills and hold a lot of it in contempt for being rather pointless and a waste of time. Luckily, my math class is easy so less grief in that respect. Well, it isn't easy, but I find the teacher to be reasonable as far as his philosophy towards teaching. "I don't give you work to keep you busy. I just assign enough so you'll understand it." He never assigns many questions and usually, I'll be finished in class with time to spare. He only collects our homework sometimes (for completion marks) and with our worksheets (textbook shortage), he usually just prints the answers in the back. "You only cheat yourself when you cheat on work." Or something like that. He's also pretty cool, humour wise.

"I don't like these mechanical pencils. To make the lead come out, you have to push the back. I like the ones where you click the ones on the side. 'But Mr. Smith! Why are you talking about mechanical pencils? We want to learn something new, exciting and interesting!' No, no, and no. Today, we only have old, boring, review. Oh, but don't worry, we'll learn something new, exciting and interesting next week."

But yeah, he's an old teacher with the cheesy jokes that make me chuckle.

There's more funny stuff, but it's difficult to convey in words. But he has talked about things like math teacher utility belts and using those slip-on, car wiping things to erase things on his white board instead of the towels. To just whip it out on his right hand (he's left handed) and "Foom foom foom" to erase the work.

But yeah, Math class has been enjoyable. PE's okay. This planning stuff for my portfolio is very depressing, however. Horribly depressing. It sucks.

And Socials Class. I couldn't get an awesome teacher. Instead, I get this PE teacher who was a professional soccer player in Scotland. The guy's nice and all and I enjoy his allowing us to eat in class. But jesus, I hate this bull crap.

Jay is a whore for amineh gewds 2 and Never Forget: 08/21/06 - Double feature

Alright, lets do this chronologically, like near the beginning of last week if memory serves, I had the extreme pleasure of shopping for anime figures. I've bought a few between then and the last time I reported also. Anyhow, I sort of whored myself out and bot a whole bunch. I'm terrible and spent so much money, but hobbies will be hobbies. Here's a full picture of my whole rack. I'll take any requests for a better shot of any of the figures, though I don't have a very good set up for taking photos.

The new ones, since my last update, going from left to right are:
Rin Tohsaka dodging Berserker's grab, both from Fate/stay Night; Misuzu from AIR with Sora--the crow--also from AIR on her arm; the two girls up front are Mecha Musume figures, which are basically some crazed conglomerate of neko girls, lolis and war planes (I especially like the one of the British Valentine): the one on the left is Britain's Valentine while the one on the right is Russia's P-60; further to the right in front, are Satoko, Rika and Mion all of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (alternatively, Casey&friends XD), each being a little scene that shows their character and has them saying something; behind the trio on the left is Saber from Fate/stay Night dressed in her casual clothes from Fate/stay Night Hollow ataraxia, her skirt seems movable but I don't need a skirtless Saber so I dare not disturb the peace; right of Saber is an Alvis E. Hamilton of Last Exile fame, a figure I like very much since it's incredibly well done--especially the clothing folds--not to mention she's adorable; and finally, last but definitely not least, Henrietta of Gunslinger Girl fame sporting her Amati violin case (most likely containing her Fabrique Nationale P90 SMG) held in her right hand and also, probably unclear in the picture, a SIG Sauer P239 in her left hand. The rest you've all seen before, I'm quite sure.

Now! Onto the next item. Two days ago, the day had gone by fairly typically. However, the day of August 21st, 2006 truly started at around 7:30, when I met Angela Melick (better known as spikecomix or Jam of WastedTalent or www.spikecomix.com), David Stanworth (Better known as Snafu Dave of Snafu Comics fame) and JJ of Filibuster Cartoons, whose name I know not beyond JJ, at Aberdeen Center Mall's large fountain. We ate dinner together at one 7th Heaven Cafe, where we talked a lot and lots of cool hanging out-ness happened. Before that though, they handed me some leftover prints they had for free, because well, they probably wouldn't be able to sell them at that point as the con was over. They went to the Bakery and got some Chinese-Style baked goods before we headed up for dinner. Much talking was done. I can't quite remember what JJ had, but I myself had a Clam chowder, caesar salad and a 12oz. Ribeye steak on a "hot plate" with Black pepper sauce (costing an approximate total of $24 CAD after tax, which is pretty damn cheap considering all the food and the quality. Angela had the ham and egg on rice and finally, Dave splurged a little by treating him to exotic cuisine: Escargot au Gratin, Russian Borscht and an order of the Ox Tail in Spanish sauce w/ spagetti. JJ had some type of curry. For drinks, JJ just drank water I think while I had a Honey dew melon juice and the other two Snafu-ers had hot coke. Y'know, Coca Cola, but hot. Which is good, supposedly.

So yes, we finished up dinner, wandered around a bit before--by my grace and wisdom--toddled over to a nice Bubble Tea place for "dessert". Angela did a capsule gashapon thing and won a dolphin! :D The one she wanted, which was awesome. We proceeded to fiddle around and trying to get the strap thing secured onto her cellphone which apparently is designed to aggravate people who try to attach things to it Honger style. We got our drinks, which Dave fetched. I forget what JJ had, it was I think, Honey dew melon thing of some sort. It had pearls. Angela had this snow drop sort of things. Dave had a mango thingy while I had a simple, cold, Earl Grey milk tea. I was the only one who didn't actually get pearls in my drink, but that's because pearls always pissed me off. So yes, woot. I get driven home and abandoned the party, as they could drive and I couldn't. They made the typical comments of "Wow" about my house, which happens a lot. According to Jam, they had a lot of trouble trying to navigate Richmond's "guai lo trapping streets", as I've termed them (they said gaijin, but that wasn't Chinese enough).

So yes, arrive at home and I'm thinking it's the most awesome day of quite possibly the whole year and definitely the highlight of summer. But it gets better. Now, getting home I lay down the prints on my bed, planning to get them onto my wall later and y'know, sit around doing my usual computer stuff. I arrived home at maybe half an hour into 10 pm. So my mom knocks on my door, standing in my doorway (which is very close to where I sit during "computer time") holding up this sky blue shirt and asking whether it's mine or my fathers. I shrug and try to get back to my business but my mom doesn't let me. I get up and take a look at the shirt and to my surprise--an extremely good surprise--, the front of the shirt featured a large Neo-Zeon Emblem (the second one) and read:
Mobile Suit
GUNDAM
Char's Counterattack
I was wow'd and said I didn't care. I had to have it. Apparently my mother dug it out of the laundry somewheres.

So yes, that marked of quite possibly the best day of this year and the definite highlight of my Summer, which had been fairly cool. Would've been cooler if I could've met Nati, but ah well. Many chances.

Here is the picture of the day's memorabilia:
